| Most door manufacturers rely on the leads alone to provide strength for their installed glass panels. CLASSY GLASS DESIGN uses the finest leads available reinforced with copper running through the center (heart) of each lead. For exceptionally large pieces or panels which must withstand physical shock (like a door opening and closing) additional "reinforcing bars" are added. These bars are usually made of zinc or steel and are applied horizontally and bent to follow the lead lines so as not to detract from the symetry of the piece.
