My Life Today
Married 10 years, live in North San Jose.
Long-time Silicon Valley veterans.
Leonie has been with the same
semiconductor company for a long time. She works, I goof off.
We travel a lot, visiting relatives and in-laws across the
globe. Too many hobbies to list. I have a million-word rough
draft of a fine high-tech action adventure. When I get some
free time, I will put the wraps on it, and publish it under my
top-secret pen name. Terrorists attack! America fights
back! Bif Sok Pow! Then a car exploded! Kerblooey! And they
all lived happily ever after.
A Short History of the last 30 Years
UC Davis, '71-75, graduated cum laude in viticulture
and enology. Worked in vineyard and winery management full-time
until 1989, planting Chardonnay wherever it would grow, and a
few places it wouldn't.
Went to work in defense aerospace in 1989, ending up on
Corporate Staff for a three-company conglomerate. Went through
the Looking Glass to become a Darkside Warrior, can't remember
much about it. Something about a "skiff"?!?
Got a tiny golden parachute in 1995, and got trained as a
CNC machinist, working in a shop making rockets and missiles.
Worked 65 hours a week for a few years, then moved on to bigger
and better things.
Future Plans
Goof off as much as possible. Consume mass quantities.
Write the All-American Novel. Write some technical papers:
Plant-scale synthesis of PETN with azeotropic acid. A
six-dimensional matrix for plastic high-energy materials.
Atomic hydrogen as light-gas propellant. Fun stuff.
What I've Learned the last 30 years
Life is a cabaret, my friends! Carpe diem!
Disgustibus non disputandum est!
Deny everything!
Message to My Classmates
Come to St. John's in Milpitas for the 11 AM mass, and
you'll see me up front in the choir. Afterwards we'll go get
some dim sum. Yum!
My Favorite Quote
"Behold, I am become death, the destroyer of worlds!"
Vishnu in the Bhagavad Gita.

and animals. Respect Mother Earth. Kharma rules the universe.
