My Life Today

They call me " The Fastest Draw in the West " here at Roaring Camp (a train park) in Felton, CA. I have my own business as a professional artist, drawing Quick Sketch Portraits at Roaring Camp, the Hayes Mansion, and high school grad nights. It has been a great joy drawing thousands of people of all races from around the world. Also, my many oil paintings and large-scale murals are displayed in local restaurants, businesses, and homes in the Santa Cruz County. In addition, I am currently writing a book. My two sons, two cats, and I reside in Felton. We live in a mountain cabin tucked away in the woods. My oldest son, Michael (19 yrs.) is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently working as a Junior Engineer in the Silicon Valley. My youngest son, Eric (14 yrs.) attends middle school and loves to BMX bike, wakeboard, and play golf.

A Short History of the last 30 Years

In 1974, I began drawing portraits in San Francisco. Then I drew my way across the country to New Orleans and continued to draw there. I then went to Hawaii and drew there for a few years. I missed my family and came home. I then got married, settled down and traveled again and went to Greece to work on a ship for six weeks. I lost my husband and home to a divorce, and I' ve been raising my two sons.

Future Plans

I intend to stay in the Santa Cruz County and continue to draw, hike in the mountains, go to the beach, enjoy my sons, and savor all the good moments in life.

What I've Learned the last 30 years

Life is a precious gift with no guarantees. Cherish it and what you can make of it. Go forward, not backward. Just remember, for every disadvantage, there are advantages. And along the way, take time out to stop and look at the sunset. You never know when your last day will be. And most of all, enjoy the subtle things in life with the people you love.

Message to My Classmates

I wish you the best. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
