Pimpin' the goods.
Wil has his own website, which is awesome. It represents everything that is Wil Wheaton. I'm a part of the WWdN posse. Go me! He started out with an apparently dorky Geocities page (*runs and cries because this is a dorky Geocities page*) until finally getting hosted and trying it again. It's successful and has even gone to make money for a good cause. I personally love his website, I visit at least every day to see if he's updated his blog. Well, even though I joined the mailing list that sends out an email telling you he's updated, I visit whenever I feel a little off. Just going to it and searching through the content is...content. He's got a FAQ, which is hilarious but true; a store full of everything you'd expect him to sell; a gallery of photos from the most memorable events of his life and his very beautiful wife Anne (and their dog Ferris, awww) - but there are no photos of their kids. I admire that a lot. If I was a celebrity with children, I wouldn't put their pictures up either. Nice move, Wil. :) Anyway, if you're a big WheatonFan, and want to see what the WWdN Posse is all about - and even join it! - I suggest you go visit right now! Trust me, you will NOT be let down. Wil has finally been able to cross out one of the things on his wishlist: write a book. It's like standing in the rain and being ultimately happy.. He has gone and gotten his book of five short-but-true stories published, and he's very, very happy about it. I haven't gotten it yet, but I hope to get it soon. Wil also is good friends with the illustrator of the book, Ben Claassen III (also known as just Ben, of course) -- Wil asked Ben if he would illustrate it, because Wil really liked Ben's previous drawings, and Ben accepted. There have been many very good reviews about DB, and I can't blame them - even though I haven't read it, I'm sure it's awesome. Thousands have been sold already, at a very fast pace, which makes Mr. Wheaton even more happy about it. He plans to finish another book of true stories called "Just a Geek," and then a fiction book afterwards! Way to go, Wil, keep 'em comin'! DB@Monolith Press
