This is one of those cards that your jaw drops when you see it. Coming out of the 2nd set, this is a HUGE card.
Costing 10F and still having to discard 2 of those to even get this guy out. Yes, he is very expensive.
Beginners would see this card and automatically put him into their decks. But It would usually result in a bad idea.
With most decks splashing Transfiguration (Mostly for creature and board denial) they can remove Fluffy with one swip and
not think much about it. Which means that you just lost 2F to put this guy into play and also had to have enough Lessons to even think
of playing him in the first place. So you would have to run a lot of Lessons in your deck. This card is mainly a beginner card because
they just want to put him in their deck if they are running creatures. But there are plenty of cards out their to swip him off the board.
There are a few combos out there that can help you actually use Fluffy in a deck and have it be fairly decent. But its hard to base a deck around him.
One combo is to run a Creature/Potions deck, Plop down Fluffy and then follow that up with a Jawbind Potion (which disallows your
opponent from playing spells on their next turn) so you could atleast do 12 damage on your next turn. Also the 4 Privet Drive or
Through the Arch Adventures would work as well. If you are playing with Fred and George Weasley as your starter you could play
one of those Adventures for an Action and Fluffy for another. If you dont have Fred and George as your starter this combo could be a little harder because of the 2 Actions it takes to put down the adventure. All in all this is a decent card in the right deck. But putting him in a deck just cause you like him may not be smart. Fluffy doesnt get to see to much play, but he is still fun.
