Hobbies

My husband and I love dogs and have three right now. Over the years, we've averaged five dogs at any given time. One of us is always bringing home a stray, or allowing one to adopt us! We're about to run out of names for all the dogs we've had over the years. We've also added a potbellied pig named Harley to our menagerie. Bringing Harley into our home with the dogs has been nothing less than a riot! It has been a very interesting experience, to say the least. Quite a household,
or dog/pig hold, however you look at it!

Besides our animals and my chatting on irc, my husband and I enjoy riding our Harleys. He has a 1992 Ultra Classic Electra-Glide, and I have a 1995 883 Sportster ... yes, we're some of those! We ride whenever and wherever we can. 1996 found us on a trip to Alabama (which, by the way, was my first long solo ride), to visit one of my chat buddies. We also rode to Memphis for the National H.O.G. Rally and met another chat buddy while we were there. During the summer of 1999, we rode 2500 miles through upstate New York, Canada, and Michigan. Now that was some ride! We love to attend as many of the State and National Rallies when our schedules will allow us to do so. Our biker goal is to get back out to Sturgis for the Black Hills Classic, which we attended in 1994, and also get down to Florida for Bike Week one of these years.

This summer found me on a bike trip with my husband and four of his buddies. We rode up through Washington D.C., around Baltimore and over to York, PA. We came home via the Skyline and Blue Ridge Parkways, which are dream roads for a biker.

I also enjoy playing backgammon on Cases Ladder, where I have met a lot of terrific people. I've traveled to Biloxi and Las Vegas to meet some of my new backgammon friends, and hope to make it to other get-togethers in the future.
