About Me
I was born and raised in Michigan, the suburbs of Detroit to be exact. My passions as a child and teenager were Motown, dancing and cheerleading ... yes, I was one of those! Occasionally, I still have the big mouth to back up that claim to fame, just ask any of my irc and/or backgammon buddies!
After graduating high school, I was employed at the home office of a large corporation as a secretary ... yes, I was one of those, still am, as a matter of fact, only now I'm a freelance legal secretary. That corporation and job were the highlights of my life. I met my husband there, fell head over hills in love, and got married within seven months of our first date.
My husband is a Southern gentleman by birth, but was raised primarily in Michigan. After four years of marriage, we completely uprooted ourselves and moved south to East Tennessee, and we've been here ever since, loving every minute. We live in the hills of East Tennessee right smack dab in the middle of 50 acres and commute 50 miles each way, every day to work in the big city. Actually, I should clarify that ... my husband commutes every day. I have an aversion to work, and only do it when I have to!
