La band cominciò a comporre musica piuttosto inusuale, molto difficile da classificare. Dopo alcuni mesi la band perse l asala prove e si spostò in un'altra dove registrò il primo "garage - demo"  intitolato "Upchatie Tepny". Il demo era costituito da 8 tracce di death metal con elementi black e grind, ma a causa di un pessimo suono non fu distribuito. Durante l'occupazione della saletta la band incontrò la disapprovazione degli abitanti locali e dopo 2 mesi cambiò di nuovo sala prove. In questo periodo il gruppo prese il nuovo batterista Rasto Pales perchè il provvisorio era davvero inattendibili. Con l'arrivo del nuovo drummer il gruppo approdò al puro grindcore. Nel marzo '98 gli Embolism registrarono un demo con 14 tracce di brutal grind, "Grind 'n' Roll". Questo demo fu registrato nello studio della death metal band Typhoid. Ne furono edite 100 copie.

Il primo concerto ebbe luogo il 28 marzo nella città slovacca Viglas vicino a Zvolen. Il 5 luglio '98 fu registrato il 3° demo "Mental Retard Individuals" con 10 tracce e il bonus demo "Grind 'n' Roll". Questo demo fu anche publblicato come split tape con gli Agathocles. Nel dicembre 1999 gli Embolism entrarono nello studio Exponent e registrarono nuovo materiale che uscì nel luglio 2000 sotto Erebos Productions, come debut Cd "...And We All Hate Ourselves". Allo stesso tempo la Erebos produsse il 4 way split 7" Haemorrhage / Embolism / Suffocate / Obliterate, dove gli Embolism parteciparono con la canzone "Deadly Results" dal Cd. Correttamente gli Embolism stanno per fare uscire una live tape come split con i Depresy Mouse, sotto Project production.

The band began composed rather unusual music which was very difficult to classify. After half year the band lost reheasal room and moved into new one where they recorded their first "garage demo" called "Upchatie Tepny". This demo consisting eight of tracks in death metal style with elements of black and grind. But for very bad sound it wasn't distribuited. During the occupation of rehearsal room the band meets with disapproval of local inhabitants and after two months band again changed style of music to pure grindcore. In March 6th 1998 embolism recorded fourteen tracks of brutal grind - demo "Grind 'n Roll". This demo was recorded at rehearsal room of death metal band Typhoid. it was produced 100 pieces.

First live performance take place March 28th 1998 in Slovakian town Viglas near Zvolen. In July 3rd 5th 1998 was recorded third demo "Mental Retard Individuals" which contains ten new tracks and bonud demo "Grind 'n Roll". This demo was also released like split tape with Agathocles. When Embolism released four way split with bands Pissed Cunt, WASP, P.B.K. In December 1999 Embolism came to studio Exponent and recorded new material whichwas ereleased in July 2000 under the Erebos productions, as an debut Cd "...And We All Hate Ourselves". At same time Erebos productions released four way split 7" Haemorrhage, Embolism, Suffocate and obliterate, where Embolism has a song Deadly Results from debut Cd. Currently Embolism releasing live Mc under Project production as split tape with Depresy Mouse.
