La band si è formata nel novembre 1996. Dopo diversi concerti locali dove eseguivano cover di gruppi come Fear Factory e Entombed, iniziarono a comporre pezzi loro. Nel settembre ’97 iniziarono a registrare alcuni pezzi che avrebbero formato il loro primo demo, intanto andavano aumentando i concerti. Nell’estate 1998 uscì il loro primo lavoro serio intitolato “Simply Nothing”, che comprendeva 3 tracce registrate in studio e 1 live. Dopo una serie di buone recensioni su riviste specializzate e un buon supporto da parte di fanzines, distributori e radio i Devastation Inside apparirono in alcuni festival nel nord Italia. Nel frattempo il brano intitolato “Inside” fu scelto dal gruppo per una compilation tape e successivamente uscì per l’etichetta scozzese Gloden Lake.

Dopo alcuni mesi particolarmente problematici il gruppo ritornò sulle scene live nell’estate 1999 supportando i Reign nel “Rockin’ Mountain Open Air Festival” insieme agli Even Vast. Nel settembre 1999 registrarono il brano “Hate/love” ai Pulsar Studio di Torino, per promuovere il gruppo. Nel luglio del 2000 esce “European Deathophobia Vol. 2” per l’etichetta tedesca Earth-A.D, che include 51 death/ black/ thrash metal bands europee. Verso la fine dell’estate 2000 i Devastation Inside saranno in studio di nuovo per registrare i brani per il loro secondo lavoro che dovrà uscire prima della fine dell’anno. Nel frattempo ci sarà uno split con i Nefarium, una band black metal, anche loro di Aosta.

The band formed in november of 1996. After having played several concerts locally covering bands such as Fear Factory, Entombed, they starter to compose their own pieces. In september 1997 they recorded some songs which would become the first demo. More live performances followed. In summer of 1998 they recorded their first serious work entitled “Simply Nothing”; 3 studio pieces and 1 live performance. After a series of good reviws in specialist magazines and good support from fanzines, distributors and radio stations Devastation Inside perform live at several festival in north Italy. At the same time a piece entitled “Inside” by the band is chosen for a compilation tape and subsequently released by Scottish label Golden Lake. After some problematic months the band returned to the live scene in summer 1999 supporting Reign in the “Rockin’ Mountain Open Air festival” along with Even Vast.

In september 1999 they recorded the song “Hate/love” at Pulsar Studio (Turin Italy) for promoting the band.

In July 2000 “European Deathophobia Vol. 2” by German label Earth-A.D. is out including51 death/ black/ thrash metal bands from Europe. Glacial Fear and Devastation Inside represent Italy. Info:  www.earth-ad.com

At the end of summer 2000 Devastation inside will be in studio againfor the nrecording session of the second work of the band that will be out bifore the end of the year.
