1985: Dopo essere stati attivi nella scena underground dal 1981 stampando zines, facendo uscire compilation tapes, aiutando ad organizzare concerti, un gruppo di amici ,tutti provenienti dalla città belga di Mol, cominciarono a jammare insieme, making huge noises in vena a gruppi come NEOS, ACCURSED BLUDGEON, LARM, HELLHAMMER,... Registrarono qualche cassetta di prova nella loro singola sala prove da dove vennero espulsi per il rumore. Solo qualche cassetta di prova fu fatta uscire in quel periodo. La line-up era: Jan - chitarra, voce ed Erwin - batteria e voce.

1985: After being active in the underground scene since 1981 by doing  ‘zines,releasing compilation tapes,helping to organizate concerts,some friends, all coming from the Belgian city MOL, started jamming together, making huge noises in the vein of bands such as Neos, Accursed Bludgeon, Larm, Hellhammer,... They recorded some rehearsaltapes in their several rehearsalrooms where they got kicked out eachtime because of the noise. Only some rehearsalrecordings are left from that period. The line-up was: Jan-guitar and vocals and Erwin-drums and vocals

1986: fu registrata qualche altra cassetta nella sala prove, si suonò anche in qualche gig per molto poca gente nell’ambiente del rumore estremo. La band stava cercando un line-up stabile ed un luogo per le prove dove non venire mandati via dal vicinato e dalla polizia. Di questo periodo, rimane solo qualche cassetta di prova.

1986: Some more recordings in the rehearsalroom were done, even a few gigs for very few people into extreme noise. The band was still looking for a steady line-up and a rehearsalplace where they would not be chased away by the neighbours and police. From this period, only some rehearsalrecordings are left.

1987: gli Agathocles trovarono un luogo di prova stabile nello youthclub "Jam"a Mol. In questo youthcenter, hanno registrato singole tracce per compilation tapes e cominciarono ad organizzare i loro primi concerti in questo luogo. Altri concerti furono organizzati in altri luoghi, suonando con gruppi come Violent Mosquitos, Napalm Death, Pestilence, Extreem, Distress, Total Mosh Project,... la line-up degli AG in quest’anno era la seguente: Jan - chitarra,voce ; Ronny - basso ed Erwin - batteria e voce. Nel dicembre del 1987, Jakke entrò nel gruppo alla chitarra e Jan potè concentrarsi sulla voce.

1987: AG found a steady rehearsalplace in the youthclub "Jam" in MOL. In this youthcenter, they recorded several tracks for compilation tapes and they started to organize their own gigs in this place. Other gigs were done in other places,playing with bands such as Violent Mosquitos, Napalm Death, Pestilence, Extreem, Distress, Total Mosh Project, ...The line up of AG in this year was: Jan-guitar and vocals, Ronny-bass and Erwin-drums. In december 1987, Jakke joined the band on guitar and Jan could concentrate on the vocals.

1988: gli AG registrarono qualche EP, come l’EP AG \ Riek Boois, e AG "Cabbalic Gnosticism". Si fecero delle altre registrazioni in quest’anno ma non sono state ancora fatte uscire (forse presto). I loro concerti in Belgio continuarono ed essi prepararono il loro primo LP. Suonarono qualche altro gig insieme a gruppi come Extreme Noise Terror, Belgian Associality,... La line-up era: Jan - voce ; Jakke - chitarra ; Ronny - basso ed Erwin - batteria.

1988: AG did recordings for some EP’s, like the AG\Riek Boois EP and AG "Cabbalic Gnosticism" EP. Some other recordings were made in this year, but are not released yet (maybe soon). Their gigs in Belgium continued and they prepared for their first LP. Some more gigs were done with bands such as Extreme Noise Terror,Belgian Associality, ...The line-up was: Jan-vocals, Jakke-guitar, Ronny-bass, Erwin-drums.

1989: gli AG registrarono lo split LP AG \ Drudge. La line-up della band era sempre composta dai ragazzi di Mol, ma un secondo chitarrista si unì alla band. La line-up adesso era: Jan - voce ; Jakke - chitarra ; Guy - chitarra ; Ronny - basso ed Erwin - batteria. Uscirono nuove registrazioni, ad esempio l’EP AG \ Disgorge, l’EP AG "Fascination Of Mutilation", l’EP AG "If This Is Cruel, What Is Vivisection Then. Si fecero altri concerti con gruppi come Deathcore,... Alla fine del 1989 Ronny lasciò il gruppo e Jakke passò al basso.

1989: The AG\Drudge LP was recorded. The line-up of the band was still of members coming from MOL, but a second guitarplayer joined the band. The line-up was: Jan-vocals, Jakke-guitar, Guy-guitar, Ronny-bass, Erwin-drums... New recordings were done for example for the AG\Disgorge EP,AG "Fascination Of Mutilation"EP, AG "If This Is Cruel, What Is Vivisection Then?" EP. Other gigs were done with bands like Deathcore, ... At the end of 1989, Ronny left the band and Jakke took over the bass guitar.

1990: All’inizio del 1990, gli Agathocles registrarono l’EP AG \ VNA con la line-up: Jan - voce ; Guy - guitar ; Jakke - basso ed Erwin - Batteria. Pochi mesi dopo, ci fu un ulteriore cambio di line-up. Dei membri originali della band rimase solo Jan e trovò altri due membri per gli AG. La line-up fu: Jan - basso e voce ; Domingo - chitarra e Burt - batteria. Con questa formazione nel 1990 gli AG registrarono gli EP AG \ Blood ; AG \ Smegma ; AG \ Nasum ; AG \ Putrid Offal ed altri. gli AG andarono anche in Danimarca per dei concerti e suonarono qualche gig con la cultband giapponese SOB.

1990: In the beginning of 1990,AG recorded the AG\VNA EP with the line-up: Jan-vocals, Guy-guitar, Erwin-drums and Jakke-bass. A few   months later, there was a major line-up change. Jan only stayed in the band and found two other members for AG. The line-up was: Jan-bass and vocals, Domingo - guitar and Burt-drums. With this line-up and in 1990, AG recorded the AG\ Blood EP, AG\Smegma EP, AG\Nasum EP, AG\Putrid Offal EP and tons more AG also went to Denmark for gigs and played several gigs with Japanese cultband Sob...

1991: Il vecchio batterista Erwin rientrò nella band al basso. Per un po’ la line-up fu la seguente: Jan - voce ; Domingo - chitarra ; Erwin - bass e Burt - batteria. Ma dopo pochi mesi, Domingo lasciò il gruppo e Jan lo sostituì alla chitarra. Con questo trio, fu registrato l’EP "Agarchy" nel luglio ‘91. Dopo di che, Chris entrò nel gruppo alla chitarra e la line-up cambiò di nuovo: Jan - voce ; Chris - chitarra ; Erwin - bass e Burt - batteria. Con questa formazione, gli AG registrarono il CD "Theatric Symbolisation Of Life". Si fece un tour nella Germania dell’Est con il session vocalist Tuur,(che morì nel 1996) preso dai mincecorers belgi Reign Of Terror, in estate (perchè Chris non potè partecipare al tour e Jan doveva dunque suonare la chitarra).

1991: The old drummer Erwin rejoined the band on bass-guitar. For a short time, the line-up was: Jan-vocals, Erwin-bass, Burt-drums and Domingo-guitar. But after a few months, Domingo left the band and Jan took over the guitar. With this 3-piece line-up, AG recorded "Agarchy" EP in july 1991. After that, Chris joined the band on guitar and the line-up changed again: Jan-vocals, Chris-guitar, Erwin-bass and Burt-drums. With this line-up, the "Theatric Symbolisation Of Life"CD was recorded. A tour in East-Germany with session vocalist Tuur (who died in 1996) from the Belgian mincecore band Reign Of Terror also happened in the summer of this year (because Chris could not go on tour so Jan had to play the guitar). At the end of 1991, Erwin left the band again and Dirk came in the band to play bass.

1992: Durante i primi mesi del 1992, la line-up era: Jan - voce ; Dirk - basso ; Chris - chitarra e Burt - batteria. Ma nel maggio ‘92 Chris e Dirk lasciarono la band per fondare un loro gruppo. Gli Agathocles trovarono un nuovo chitarrista chiamato Steve e la line-up divenne la seguente: Jan - basso e voce ; Burt - batteria e Steve - chitarra e voce. gli AG continuarono a registrare e a fare concerti ed andarono in Sardegna, in Italia, per fare concerti. In quest’anno. gli AG registrarono materiale come i live-albums "Cliche" LP e l’album "Use Your Anger" LP.

1992: During the first months of 1992, the line-up was: Jan-vocals, Dirk-bass, Chris-guitar and Burt-drums. But in may 1992, Chris and Dirk left AG to start and own band. AG found a new guitarplayer called Steve and the line up was: Jan-bass and vocals, Steve-guitar and vocals and Burt-drums. AG continues their recordings and gigging and went to Sardinia, Italy, for gigs. This year, AG recorded stuff like the live-albums "Cliche"LP and "Use Your Anger" LP.

1993: Quest’anno, la line-up restò la stessa. Con la line-up di 3 membri (Jan, Burt and Steve), gli AG andrarono in tour in paesi come Repubblica Ceca, Slovacchia, Germania, Belgio, Olanda,... insieme alla band tedesca FH 72, che ora si è sciolta. Quest’anno, AG registrarono materiale come gli EP "Distrust And Abuse", AG \ Social Genocide , AG \ Man Is The Bastard, AG \ Patareni e molti altri.

1993: This year, the line-up stayed the same. With the line-up of three members (Jan, Burt and Steve), AG went on tour in countries such as Czech, Slovakia, Germany, Belgium, Holland,...together with the German band FH 72, who have split up now. This year, AG recorded stuff such as "Distrust And Abuse"EP, AG\Social Genocide EP, AG\Man Is The Bastard EP, AG\Patareni EP and a lot more.

1994: Anche quest’anno la line-up non cambiò. Gli AG fecero un grosso tour in Spagna nel luglio ‘94, dove registrarono in loro famoso EP "Mince Mongers In Barna", che venne registrato nella sala prove del gruppo mincecore spagnolo Violent Headache. Le studiosessions continuarono e fluirono in uscite come il CD "Black Clouds Determinate", gli EP AG \ Rot, AG "Back To 1987" e AG \ Plastic Grave e molte altre.

1994: Also this year, there are no line-up changes and the line-up stays the same (Jan,Burt and Steve). AG does a big tour in Spain in July 1994, where they also recorded their famous "Mince Mongers In Barna"EP,   which was recorded in the rehearsalroom on the Spanish mincecore band Violent Headache. Studiosessions continues and resulted in records suck as AG "Black Clouds Determinate"CD, AG\Rot EP, AG "Back In 1987", AG\Plastic Grave EP a lot of more.

1995: gli AG registrarono il loro CD "Razor Sharp Daggers", con la line-up di Jan, Burt e Steve, contenente 25 nuove canzoni. Gli AG vennero inclusi nel CD compilation "Metalopolis" edito dalla Stazione Radio Nazionale Belga. Nell’estate 1995, Steve lasciò la band and Matty entrò negli AG alla chitarra. Quindi la line-up fu: Jan - basso,voce ; Matty - chitarra,voce e Burt - batteria.

1995: AG recorded their AG "Razor Sharp Daggers" CD with the line-up of Jan, Burt and Steve, containing 25 brand new songs. AG also got included on the Metalopolis compilation CD from the National Belgian radiostation. In summer 1995,Steve left the band and Matty joined AG on guitar. So the line-up was: Jan-Bass and Vocals, Burt-drums and Matty-guitar and Vocals.

1996: La line-up restò la stessa per tutto il 1996. All’inizio di quest’anno gli Agathocles andarono a Istanbul, in Turchia per concerti. Là, suonarono con la band turca Radical Noise. Più avanti nell’anno, gli AG andarono in tour in Repubblica Ceca per suonare con i loro mince-brothers Malignant Tumour. In questo tour, filmarono un video e registrarono una doppia cassetta, come benefit per i diritti degli animali. Lo stesso anno, gli AG andarono a registrare una studiosession alla Sazione Radio Nazionale Belga. Quest’anno, uscirono gli EP AG \ Unholy Grav, AG \ Preparation H, AG \ Autoritar ed il CD "Thanks For Your Hostility".

1996: The line-up (Jan, Burt and Matty) stays the same during 1996. Beginning of this year, AG goes to Istanbul, Turkey for gigs. There, they play with the Turkish band Radical Noise. Later that year, AG goes on tour with their Czech mince-brother Malignant Tumour. On this tour, they made a video and a doubletape, as a benefit for animal rights. The same year, AG goes to record a studiosession in the National Belgian radiostation. This year, the AG\Unholy Grave EP, AG\Preparation H EP, AG\Autoritar EP, "Thanks For Your Hostility" CD and a lot more was recorded.

1997: Per gran parte del 1997 la line-up con Jan, Burt and Matty restò la stessa. Gli AG registrarono il loro CD "Humarrogance" e fecero una studiosession negli studi radio della BBC, a Londra. Altre registrazioni uscite in quest’anno sono: il CD AG \ Depression, l’EP AG \ Excruciating Terror,... Alla fine dell’anno Vince entrò negli Agathocles al basso. La line-up fu: Jan - voce ; Vince - basso ; Matty - chitarra ; Burt - batteria.

1997: Most of 1997, the line-up with Jan, Burt and Matty stays the same. AG records their "Humarrogance"CD and did a Peelsession, a studiosession in the BBC-radiostudios in London, England. Other recording that were done in this year are: AG\Depression CD ,AG\Excruciating Terror EP, ....At the end of this year, Vince joins AG on bassguitar. The line-up becomes: Jan-vocals, Vince-bass, Matty-guitar and Burt-drums. With this line-up, AG records at the end of 1997 the AG\BWF EP and the AG\Die EP.

1998: Gli AG cambiarono ancora line-up e nel giugno 1998 la formazione fu: Jan - basso e voce ; Burt - batteria e Dirk - chitarra e voce. Si registrarò molto materiale nuovo come: AG \ Deadmocracy LP, AG \ Suppository CD, AG \ Comrades CD, AG \ Bloodsuckers EP,...

1998: AG changes line-up again,and since June 1998, AG is: Jan-bass and vocals, Burt-drums and Dirk-guitar and vocals. AG records a lot of new stuff suck as AG\Deadmocracy LP, AG\Suppository CD,AG\Comrades CD, AG\Bloodsuckers EP...

1999: Con la line-up di Jan, Burt and Dirk, gli AG andarono in tour in Repubblica Ceca e Slovacchia e registrarono nuovo materiale come l’EP AG \ Grind Buto, l’LP AG \ Disculpa, l’LP AG \ Unholy Grave,... Durante quest’anno, gli AG suonarono gigs con bands come Unholy Grave, dal Giappone, My Mind’s Mine, Malignant Tumour.

1999: With the line-up of Jan, Burt and Dirk, AG goes on tour in Czech and Slovak and recorded new stuff such as AG\Grind Buto EP, AG\Disculpa LP, AG\Unholy Grave LP...During this year, AG plays gigs with bands such as Unholy Grave from Japan, My Minds Mine, Malignant Tumour...

2000: La line-up è ancora la seguente: Jan, Dirk and Burt. Nel 2000, esce il CD "Debalance Their Policy". Per il momento, gli AG stanno lavorando a nuovo materiale e preparandosi per alcuni concerti.

2000: The line-up still is: Burt, Dirk and Jan. In 2000, this AG CD "Debalance Their Policy" is released. At the moment, AG is working on new stuff and preparing for some gigs.
