| Ran brought Jei tighter into his arms, his blue-violet eyes slowly slipping shut, an exasperated sigh passing through the man's lips. He leaned over Jei's shoulder, gently beginning to speak into the Irishman's ear. "We've accomplished the mission, have we not?" Jei slowly nodded, his arms snaking their way around Aya, now moving to rest his head on Aya's shoulder. A streak of orange littered the air, then disappeared again. Farfarello shifted uneasily; something was wrong. Then again, all seemed well when Abyssinian held him ever-so tightly. A smile carressed Ran's lips; no, it wasn't a smile, it was a grin. Crawford lied dead, and Farfarello was embraced in his arms, and he knew Nagi had a apart in this; otherwise he'd be dead at the moment. "Jei..," He gently whsipered, lightly brushing the side of his cheek with his own. Jei smiled, warmly once more, his single, tawny eye creeping shut. "Yes, Ran?" Ran pulled back slowly, his right, gentle yet rough-textured hand slipping upward, gently placing it to Jei's cheek; carressing it before his hand fell still, now cupping the Irishman's cheek. "Shall we discuss my pay?" That grin of Aya's continued to play over his lips. Jei blinked at first, his tawny eye once more finding itself open and fixated upon Aya's eyes. Jei's cradled cheek soon lost the warmth of Ran's hand, for it now drew Farfarello's head closer from behind, leading him into his lips... Embracing him in a kiss. Ran's blue-violet-ish eyes fell shut, Jei's tawny eye soon to follow. Co-existing with the first embrace of love between the two assassins, a single dropplet of rain fell; beneath the Berserker's eye patch, almost as if crying... A roaring sound filled the air as birds screeched and flew away, a distinct liquid now seeming to fill Jei's mouth... Blood. His tawny eye vastly opened, only to see Schuldig walking away, his gun in hand. Ran's lifeless body sank into Jei's body, blood dripping to the groound. Farfarello shivered, before looking up to the sky, "Should first love's kiss... Taste of blood?" The single dropplets soon doubled, washing away the new traces of what were tears beneath the Berserker's single eye, then soon became a downpour... "Do you weep at the loss of your child; Ran? Or, do you for once weep for me; your forgotten child; for the loss of all meaning?" |
