| Authors note: Again, Nagi is NOT in this ending. The lyrics are, again, from Wei Kreuz - "It's Too Late" (English translation). - AyaKun . . .I fear there's nothing that I can do Soaked by the rain I stand upon the concrete, sobbing now It seems so long since I last held you And even longer since the last time that you smiled. . . Crawford, startled by the warcry, leapt back at the sight of a shimmering katana, though Farfarellos blade nicked his shoulder. Fixating on his opponents, Brad grinned. Aya would swipe his katana upward on his left side next and Farfarello would follow with another stab to his chest. Brad was quick to side-step Ayas swipe, then ducked the Berserkers stab and came upward, a high kick to his right wrist, sending his retractable blade out of reach. Farfarello hissed as he grabbed his wrist, his eye narrowed toward Crawford. Farfarello released his wrist, taking a step or so back as he watched Brad. Hatred boiled in his single, tawny eye for the man. Leader or not, the Berserker was determined to kill him. Abyssinian leapt forward, slashing at Brad with his katana. Brad caught hold of Ayas wrist as he dodged the blade, his knee slinking forth and smashing into his gut. Doubling over with pain, Ran gasped for air, crouched down on his knees while he held his stomach. Grinning with satisfaction, Brad turned back to the approaching Farfarello, then quickly picked up the blade he had earlier relieved the Berserker of holding. Leaping at the now alarmed Berserker, he thrust the retractable blade forward, embedding it deep into his chest, then began to rip the blade upward and through his chest. Warm liquid washed over his entire lower body in moments, his single eye now wide. He choked out a few inaudible words and stumbled back, collapsing to the ground. Abyssinian stuttered at first, his blue-violetish eyes wide in disbelief, Nno No! Forgetting the pain which remained in his lower stomach he leapt at Brad, swinging his katana in pure fury, once to the right, then down and to the left, then hed make random stabs at Crawfords chest and gut. Crawfords eyes went wide as he watched Aya, though he couldnt read the mans moves! He was reacting to anger, not thought! The first blow of the katana hit, leaving a deep gash over his chest, though to his luck the second would miss. Abyssinians eyes were wide with anger, lined with the traces of crystalline tears. Hed jab again, once toward his neck and another toward his shoulder. Crawford stumbled back, managing to avoid the attack to his neck, but it wasnt enough to keep his shoulder from being impaled. Crawford roared with pain, clawing at the katana in a futile attempt to get it out. Abyssinian placed his boot to Crawfords shoulder, a grin of satisfaction when the man groaned with pain. Harshly, he kicked his shoulder, sending Crawford to the ground on his stomach. Without hesitation, Aya slammed the bloodstained blade into Crawfords spine. Crawford would get only a second to react before he fell silent and lifeless. Ayas rage continued, though, and he gripped the hilt with both hands, his eyes narrowing, then hed begin to turn the katana still lodged in his spine. The katana creaked with protest, but Aya continued, the satisfying sound of Crawfords spine breaking to pieces easing his rage. After a few moments, Crawfords spine gave way, shattering, Ayas katana shattering in two soon after. Climbing to his feet drenched in blood, blue-violetish eyes scanned the area, then landed on the Berserker. Rushing over to him, he sank to his knees, wincing when he saw the blade. . . The Berserker weakly reached out, brushing away the tears that lingered on Abyssinians face. Smiling weakly, Abyssinian eased the Berserkers head into his lap, quickly removing the blade from his chest. Jei My names Jei His single tawny eye closed, his breathing slowing til it ceased. Abyssinian grit his teeth, scooping Farfarello into his arms. Ran My name is Ran 06/11/03 |
