| Raxiliv wasn't known to be a loving whorling, and was much like his friend Xerphon in that manner. He preferred the company of the darker whorlings, and those that had the ability to swim, such as himself. Quite rarely, he would venture out of his caves, down the riverbed to fresher water where Serapis lived, for he was the only other whorling that he was able to stand. Serapis greeted him with merely a nod, having mellowed quite a bit since he was brought to the sanctuary by Lilithiea. Raxiliv was brought willingly by Remmox, but didn't have the same bond with him as the other whorling had with his "finder." "How's the ice King?" asked Serapis, albeit bitterly. He and Xerphon had never quite seen eye to eye, ever since Serapis had had to defend Lilithiea from Xerphon during one of his rages. Raxiliv merely mumbled something about how "he was never sure," and poked idly about the streambead... until Lilithiea arrived. Serapis instantly swam up to the young girl, delighted to see her. Raxiliv merely scoffed. The only one he owed any sort of affection towards was Talia. She had given him this home, she had saved him. They had merely brought him here.... nothing more. And they wouldn't have even found him if it hadn't been for Talia's talents. Lilithiea frowned. Raxiliv and Xerphon seemed to have taken an intense dislike to everyone other thanTalia, and it distressed the shy girl. "Raxiliv, it's great to see you," she said by way of welcome. Raxiliv merely shrugged. He had no need for bonds such as that between Serapis and his finder. Without a word, he swam back to his icy caverns, content to go back to his silence, and the quiet, equally as cold companionship of Xerphon. It had been a wasted trip, and Raxiliv was annoyed. Lilithiea shook her head. One day, he'd loosen up, just like Serapis did. She stroked his head, and glanced down at the whorling adoringly. |
