| Ishtar was glad that she had been found by Remmox, earlier on at the beginning of the search. She sighed contentedly, basking in the sun, body half in and half out of the small pool of water that she had found at the back of the Gardens. She stretched her wings idly, wondering what her other fellow whorlings were up to.... and where that sneaky Silvanus and Loki had gone...The whorling and hunter cat had become inseparable, terrorizing the whole population at the santuary (Creature Gardens). The two were never out of mischief! Heck, she thought, Loki was even named after the God of Mischief... and for good reason! Loki was insatiably curious, and loved to hunt things.... anything, including friends.. as long as they moved and could protest. Hearing a movement in the bushes behind her, she swung her gryphon-like head around, snapping her beak in an irritated gesture. She was surprised at her swiftness, for she had nearly snapped up Loki's tail in her beak! Chuckling quietly, she observed him. He gave her a injured look, his pride damaged. Loki swiveled his tail experimentally. He gave her an angry glare, clutching his tail possessively around him. She laughed aloud. "Well, if you don't stop stalking innocent victims, I'll be more than willing to shorten your tail by about 5 inches or so," she said slyly. Ishtar noticed Silvanus wander in from the sidelines and smiled. "So, did you lose your little Stooge Loki?" she asked playfully. He stuck out his tounge at her. " I didn't lose him," he said plaintitively, absolutely appalled that she would suggest such a thing. "He ran off on his own. I simply...meandered." She laughed. "You two are a barrel of laughs. Come here." she said. As they drew closer, she suddenly swept them both up with a wing and deposited them into the pool of water. They came up spluttering and spitting, shooting annoyed, yet surprised looks towards Ishtar. She giggled. "There's no place like home," she said. |
