'Traea quietly snuck through the underbrush, padding noiselessly along.  You could see the mischeivious twinkle in her eyes as she stalked her unsuspecting victim. The boy didn't even suspect that she was there! She supressed an urge to chuckle, and continued to follow the fair haired child. He seemed lost, for she had followed him around the same area for a few hours now. She sighed. She better help the poor human...but she wanted to have just a bit of fun first. Leaping out of the bushes and landing right in front of the boy, she growled ferociously. The boy backed off instantly and tripped over a rotted log on the ground.

Astraea couldn't help it. She rolled around in fits of giggles but was stopped abruptly when the boy seized the scruff of her neck and held her up towards his face.

"Thought that was funny did ya?" he asked angrily, brushing twigs and mud from his clothes with one hand. She nodded, trying desperately to maintain a solumn look...but didn't succeed and a wide grin swept across her face.

"I....just meant..hee hee... to scare... hee.. you! " she said between giggles. When her laughter subsided, she added, "I didn't expect you to fall and trip on that log, but that was pretty funny too!" The boy tried to maintain a serious composure as well, but his stone facade cracked. He plunked 'Traea down on the ground and seated himself on the log that he had earlier tripped on.

"So," he asked curiously, "what are you? And what's your name"

"Astraea, but you can just call me 'Traea. I'm a canine Whorling" she said, rolling around in the muck playfully. "What's yours?"

"My friends call my Comus," replied the boy. "I'm on a bit of a quest for my overseer. "

"A quest huh?" replied 'Traea, "well isn't that kind of difficult to do when you're lost?" she asked, proud of making such an observation.

"How did you- nevermind. Yes I'm desperately lost. I think I've seen this tree before in fact," he said, touching the large oak next to him.

"You have," said Traea matter of factly. "I watched you pass it about four times already." He looked at Traea, a shocked expression on his face. She giggled again. "So what's your quest?"

"I'm trying to find creatures that would be willing to travel back to a place called Creature Gardens with me. My overseer, Lakegazer, a very nice woman, sent out a bunch of scouts to look for creatures to bring to the Gardens. We've got quite a collection already." he looked at her, a question in his eyes. Traea though for a moment, and then replied.

"I'll go with you. I travel on my own as it is. It would be nice to have some company for once." Comus smiled.

"Good! Then it's settled! Let's get moving!" he said, picking up the pace, but then stopping short. "Uh, could you lead?" he asked quietly, a blush sweeping across his face. Traea smiled smugly and lept ahead of Comus, strutting her way out of the forest that he had entered.
