Early birds renewed old friendships and got to know one another again at the Gatsby Lounge in the Hotel. This is the same place where the dancing was after the buffet dinner on Saturday.

2. Saturday 9/9/06 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Clarkstown Bus Tour

Bus Tour New City, Clarkstown High School and Environs

We took a good, ol' bright yellow-orange Peter Brega bus all the way down New Hempstead road, into New City, and over to the school, where principal Harry Leonardatos was waiting for us. There was a nice, long tour, through the high school, into the gym, a visit to a classroom or two, then through the new Music wing over to the Annex housing the Junior High, and then back to the Karnachan mansion for a group tour photo.

Our tour included:

3. Saturday, 9/9/06 7:30 pm - 12:30 am - buffet dinner

This was the "main event". A surprisingly good dinner was prepared by the Holiday Inn staff, following the menu choices of the committee, which included:

While we finished up dinner, Steve Kelley described the preparations for the reunion, Donna handed out awards, Dorothy introduced everyone, and Ray gave a bit of the history of the influx of students into New City by projecting some early Clarkstown slides while regaling everyone with his knowledge of the history of the school district.

4. Sunday, 9/10/06 11:00 a.m. - Brunch

Brunch at Airmont Diner

We had brunch on Sunday at the Airmont Diner. Quite a good crowd squeezed in, and we had 25 or so attending.
