Article in the Rainier Review on scheduled events. |

Three beauty contestants are pictured in the July 14 issue of the Rainier Review. It seems from the photo that the event wasn't taken as seriously as it was in following years. Loretta Philbrook became the 1960 Rainier Daze queen. She was pictured with the 1961 Rainier Daze princesses in the July 20, 1961 issue of the Review. |
Note: It is believed that no Rainier Daze button was produced for 1960.

Suzan (Coldwell) Watson remembers the parade starting at Becks Lumber Yard, (now W B St and W10th St) down Highway 30, turning left at the City Hall onto E 1st St and then turning right onto E A St and going to the end of the street by the creamery. "There was a lot of participation. It was fun." |
