MY OLD 1983 PORSCHE TYPE 944

My old Porsche 944 was a rust free 1983 model I imported from Arizona to my home in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I purchased my 2.5 litter fuel injected, 5 speed from Scottsdale, Arizona. I drove the car for over 2000 miles in just over 30 hours in order to bring it home. I had no idea if the car would make it, but it ran well, and I got home safe. I spent the next year rebuilding the car. Since then I have refurbished the interior and repainted the exterior with a factory Porsche metallic satin black color. I also cleaned up and repainted the original alloy wheels. The older 944 Porsches are still a sports car bargain givin the high cost of anything aircooled. I have since sold mine but saw another one yesterday and have since owned a 912, 911, 924, 928, 964, and a 356 replica and can say from experience that for sheer fun and all around pleasure the 944 is real Porsche that almost anyone can afford and the one I really miss!
