| Welcome ! This page is dedicated with much affection to a young man named Ben Edlund. I 1st met Ben at the 1990 San Diego Comic Con. The Tick was already being published for about a year, and was doing extremely well in sales. Ben was beseiged with requests for sketches. By the time I asked for one ( for my employee, Danny ) he said it would be about 2 weeks till he'd have time to do it. Could I please write down my address and he'd mail it to me he said. Sure enough, 2 weeks later, a package arrives from Ben. He didn't fail to disappoint. Skip ahead to 1994 - The Diamond Retailer's Trade Show in Atlanta, GA. I ran into Ben at the show, not only did he remember me from San Diego 4 years previously, he invited me to a great party with Neil Gaiman, Jeff Smith, Dave Sim, and a few other luminaries of the comic business. Ben, if you happen to see this and are having trouble remembering... Think.. Atlanta - Marriot - Balcony - Jeff Smith.. ( That should do it.. if not, write me ) |
