Family Ties
Rob grew up in Minnesota and Wisconsin and is still a Midwestern boy at heart loyal, trustworthy and honest.  His parents have been married for over 38 years and now live in Raleigh, NC.  Robs sister Kelli lives in New Jersey.

Jamie grew up in Santa Barbara, CA, and is the youngest of 3 children.  Her father and stepmother live an hour away in El Dorado Hills, CA, and her mother (a mystery novelist) and stepfather split their time between Santa Barbara and Louisville, KY.  Her sister Leslie and her family live in Virginia Beach, VA, while her brother Jay lives in Ventura, CA.

Although spread out, were very close to both of our families.  We get together with Robs clan at least twice a year, either visiting them on the East Coast or having them out to CA.  We enjoy going on vacation with family, and last summer we spent time at three different family reunions, meeting all sorts of aunts, uncles and cousins from all sides of the family.  Everyone was so excited to meet Taylor, and cant wait to meet our next baby.

We keep in touch with Taylors birthmother Carrie over the Internet due to the geographic distance.  We e-mail or instant message regularly and keep each other informed about what's going on in our lives.  Carrie also regularly accesses our family website and checks in on Taylor and views photos.  The relationship is a good one and we are so glad to have her in our lives.

Our families are looking forward to sharing the adoption experience with us and are so excited about having a new baby in the family!
