gossip! :Review

Smart, Clever with good twists and an unexpected ending... but it doesn't quite pull it off, its unbelieavible setting and characters you cant really relate to. This film would appeal to those who liked Crewl Intentions! i liked this film but it did have some let downs.

The film is based on the growth of a rumour started by three students Derrick (James Marsden), Travis (Norman Reedus) and Cathy Jones (Lena Headly). For an assignment on how gossip is news. They planned to follow it as it changes and grows... however this innocent rumour gets out of control and leads to an innocent man being arrested fo rape. The truth is lost in the shadow of the rumour and a series of twists and turns make up a really good plot to the film... even if the revenge angle isn't pulled off too well. In some films the fact that it is unbelieavible attracts us as we can escape into it... but this is usally aided by characters we can relare to, which this film lacks. It was enjoyable and entertaining, it had the oppurtunity to be so much better!
