In Genesis 3:6, when Adam and Eve ate from the tree what God told them not to eat is when man first fell. With that sin which seperated us from God.
What is the punishment for sin?
In Romans 6:23a says, For the wages of sin is death. The reason is that God doesn't like us sinning at all.
What are we to do?
What we must do is,first understand that we are sinners and ask for forgiveness and to accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior.As in scriptures says in Acts 20:21; "I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus"
Because God loves to know Him in John 3:16-17;" For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
Why do we need Jesus?`
In John 14:6 says,"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
So it doesn't matter what we do or say will get us (Ephesians 2:8-9), we need Jesus in our lives.
How to accept Jesus into your life ?
Say this simple little prayer,
Dear Lord,
Yes, I know that I am sinner and I have accepted Jesus into my life,
as my personal Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name,Amen
Now that I have accepted Jesus into my life now what?
You have to go to a church that is Bible believing that does not compromise the Word of God. We need to be with other firm believers to help us grow in Jesus Christ.
We need to pray each day and read the Bible to also help grow in our faith with God.
Also attend a bible study that is offered at church this usually helps you understand the bible better and helps you in your growth with Him.
