The women's 5,000-meter speedskating final produced a surprise winner in Canada's Clara Hughes. That's right -- I was watching the women's 5,000-meter speedskating final. Anyway, Hughes wins, beating Canadian legend Cindy Klassen. So they go to the medal ceremony, and Hughes is just a bundle of positive energy, smiling and grooving her way through the first few notes of "O, Canada." After a few seconds, she can't contain herself. She reaches down and pulls Klassen onto the top step of the podium, and the two athletes throw their arms around each other, smiling and singing -- loudly -- their way through the Canadian national anthem. The vibe was undeniably infectious; a moment in time of two Olympians appreciating their good luck, good fortune and hard work.
