First and foremost, the MUD rules apply. View "help rules" for the complete listing of Nodeka's rules. The following is merely an overview of some of the more noteworthy:
1) No character selling or trading
2) No spamming
3) No multi-playing
4) No botting
5) No racial and sexual slurs
There are exceptions to #2, #4 and #5. Having a sense of humor is more important than being politically correct, for example, although everyone is expected to treat one another with respect. Your fellow clan members may spam you to get your attention (such as in the case of impending botcheck failure) and botting is tolerated up to a limited degree (we understand being busy at work or school, or instance).
In addition to Nodeka's rules, Solran members are also expected to abide by our own rules:
6) Assist Your Clan members
Defending:
You are expected to defend your clan members. This means vs verbal attacks as well as pks. If someone hits them, join the battle. If they ask for help while you are running solo or elsewhere, report immediately and provide it. If they are pked, retaliate.
The only exception is when clan members deliberately provoke conflicts without justification and are attacked. In such cases, you may use your own discretion.
Helping:
We are a not a clan simply to protect one another, but also to help one another grow. Clan members are expected to try to help other clan members to a reasonable extent with things like questions, quests, equipment, exp, and plat.
7) Recruiting
We try to accept characters into the clan who are at least 1k base and 10k health.
The only exceptions to this rule are the alts of preexisting clan members. Always refer potential recruits to the leader or advisor.
8) Probation
New clan members are considered to be "on probation" for the first month after they are accepted into the clan. This gives the clan time to get to know them and to determine if they are right for Solran. At the end of the two week probationary period, the clan members will vote on whether or not to a) keep the new clan member, b) extend the probationary period, or c) boot them. A 60%
