What´s
new?
Besides SEGA Dreamcast, PSO found a new home at Nintendo
where it´s going to perform GameCube first
online experience. The visual effects presented by
SONIC TEAM on Tokyo Game Show 2001 didn´t show improvements but one year
later Nintendo´s PSO got an especific title and
brand new stages, Phantasy Star Online Episode I
& II was finally confirmed.
The
beta version
Japanese
PSO fans could pre-order their copies since March
30th.The servers will be ready to attend users
from May 31st until June 30th.This trial version
will feature:
-
3 new areas(Santuary, Spaceship and Gal da
Bal island)on episode 2
-4
players in one GameCube mode.
-Some rare items
-Challenge and battle modes
-All characters available

More stages
await PSO hunters on the final version, such as
“jungle” and “ mountain”. Sonic Team also
revealed some of them on the latest SEGA´s
conference at E3 2002. |

network adaptors
The
next challenge
About the newcomers: GameCube PSO will offer 3 new
characters, a female hunter,a female ranger and a
male force. These models were on Sonic Team
sketches since the first Dreamcast version
version was released.
PSO episode I & II is scheduled to japanese
summer and american fall,dates are to be
confirmed. We hope to get an online support on US
version, because according to some rumours
Nintendo might not get in time to bring internet
access items.

PSO must require Game
Cube´s memory card. Those who want to get
it online must order Game Cube´s modem or
broadband adaptor .
Online gameplay should be charged.
