The Sentinel...
Last year, in conjunction with the Motion Picture and Television Fund, Michael Douglas was kind enough to invite me to participate (in a small way) in the filming of "The Sentinel."  I had a walk-on part as a Toronto Special Forces policeman protecting the President from being assassinated, and I was taught how to handle and use a firearm by a real Secret Service Agent.  I got to enjoy a wonderful night of shooting with the incredible cast and crew, and the experience helped raise money for a wonderful charity (www.mptvfund.org).

I was in Toronto for about 24 hours.and on the set from 5:00 p.m. to just after 6:00 a.m.  Michael, Kiefer, and Eva were unbelievably generous with their time, showing me many details of the filming process and really treating me like I actually belonged there.  They were all amazingly nice and friendly.  We were filming a climactic part of the movie (although I have not seen a full script and I am only familiar with the part we filmed that evening.)  Chris and I will be attending a cast-and-crew screening of the Movie on April 10 at Fox studios, so perhaps I will know more after that.

I cannot stress enough what wonderful people Michael, Eva, and Kiefer were.  Michael and I had lunch together and had a great discussion about investments, California real estate, our families, and his charitable work.  What an absolutely amazing guy.

One of the best experiences on the set was meeting and interacting with Eva...don't believe all of the Tabloid stories you read...she is a wonderful, warm, kind, humble and truly sweet person.  The only reason I have these pictures is that she took time away from her work (at 3:00 a.m.!) to find a photographer to get the shots for me...not to mention what she did for my wife Chris (but you'll have to talk to me in person to get the details of that one!)

She is truly one of a kind.
Update 9/16/2006...Make sure you watch the bonus material on the DVD...Pay particular attention to "The Secret Service...Building on a Tradition of Excellence"  Watch carefully about 4 minutes into the feature when they are discussing physical fitness...    :-)
...
O.K...so you have to be pretty quick on the pause button to see me in the actual film, but here are a couple of shots...there are several long shots where you can't really tell it's me, but these are clear (but very quick).

Many people have asked me where to look on the film...in the climax in Toronto, look out for the presidential limosines crashing into the police car and Michael Douglas saying "Give me a perimeter 10 meters 360 degrees!"  I run by just after that.  For you techies...take a look in chapter 23, from timestamp 1:39:35 to 1:40:25...enjoy...let me know what you think!
