A= acres R= roods (rods?) P= poles (perches?) Anyway just old English units of measure. Similarly the value is given in pounds, shillings and pence, . s. d 0 4 0 i.e., 4 shillings. (12 pence = 1 shilling; 20 shillings = 1 pound). I don't know what size an American acre is, but roughly: Acre 4840 sq yds Rood 1/4 of an acre A Perch was 5 1/2yds, so a square perch would be 30 1/4 sq yds. The valuation was in English monetary system : Pounds (240 pennies), Shillings ( 12pennies) (20 shillings to the Pound).

This file seems to have been currupted and the data is gone. I have the info at brothers house out of state and will put here if I ever get it back. What it says is that most of the places occupied in 1855 were the ame ones the Tithe info shows. A few weren't in teh 1855 presumably they had immigrated or died inthe "famine"
