Info in the Wis. section is what I should have for other states eventually Some of the info is on the way now. If anyone would like to help with the City Dir. in other towns let me know. I want to have Albany NY, NY City, Boston, Phili Detroit, San Franciso, Denver and others eventually. It won't happen without a bit of help.
I now have(June 2003) all city dir for Chicago, some for Kansas City, St Louis, Milwaukee, Janesville Wi., Fond DU Lac Wi., Green Bay. Some for San Francisco, and Troy NY. Most from Cambridge Mass. Also from Ancestry.com I got from -----------city dir info for some years around 1890(that years census is destroyed)
I have other info on some specific individuals not listed here, as well as contacts who are researching individuals.

Natralization Records at the National Archives
I have some Natralization info I have copied. What I have is an index for Illinois and Wisconsin. I have copies of what I could get at national Archives i Chicago and what they had at city hall in Chicago. I believe there are others at other court houses in Chicago. I found out from voter registratons for Chicago 1888,1890,1892 where the Normys in Chicgo were Natralized. It gives the #s of the original document which is at the National Archives. I happen to live near the one in Kansas City, Missouri, but the records from Ill and Wis are in Chicago Some of the names I've found contain info such as when they arrived in US, where, date of birth and witnesses. For example I found for Denis Normoyle a William Reid(his witness) living at 6538 Ellis in Chicago a block from my grandfather. Denis Normoyle in the 1920 census is listed as Denis Normile.

What we can do about obtaining Natralization Records is the Mormons family History Center has film for rent for differt regions. You can either do it yourself or send me the $3.25 they charge and I'll get it and copy all the info for all the family. Of course you still then have to go to National Archive or send them $10 with name and # which you'll then have.

Wisconsin

I have copied all of the following City Directories that are available. Write if interested. I'm particularly interested in Wi since my gr grandpa is found there first and I suspect must of the Normiles in Wi.in the 1800s were related. Green Bay City Directories

Kansas

Kansas City Directories have those living in KCK listed. I also have copied info from Leavenworth Kansas.
Years 1880-1930 checked
Eliza Normile and daughter Alice are only ones found. Eliza the widow of John. They arrived by 1860 and possibly has been in Chicago before this. He was a boiler maker and there was a Normile "boilermaker" in Chicago Dir one year in 1850s. The other Normile family in Kansas at this time lived on farm in county just to North and arrived in 1850s also. They had a large farm and were relativly prosperous making me think they were part of the Glin Normiles as they were the only Normys back then with anything.

Passenger Lists
There aren't very many records available that I have been able to find. At my local genealogical library there are shelves of German Pasenger List books. For Ireland there was only a 5 vol. set. I have very few so far. The info from Elllis Island is on-line and I won't have it here. Notice on that sight that there are a bunch Italians that are spelled Normile although they are never spelled this was in censuses. Boston Passenger Lists prior to 1883 were destroyed by fire. What is available are from the index cards.
