Donngal attended the Notinghill Coill Baronial Birthday event. It was at this time He had to choose the new Baronial Rapier Champion and step down. Lord Brandon excelled and therefor was chosen. During Court Donngal was inducted into the Order of the Coills Champions.

We attended the annual W.O.P.P (War Orphans Pity Party). This years theme was "A Knights Tale". This is a gathering for those that did not go to Pennsic Wars. And what a time to be had! Our fun-loving and spirited Baron, His Excellency Talun, had such a time with all of the hats! And of course Lord Joshua outdid himself yet again with feast. If you ever get a chance to attend an event where he is to be cooking, it is a must-do. During Court, I was rather surprised and taken back by being called into Court to receive the Baronial Award of Excellence.

We attended the Feast of Saint Hermengild. Another great event with fun to be had by all. Donngal fought to become Baronial Rapier Champion and won! Oh but that was not the end. In addition to becoming Captain of the Baronial Guard, Donngal was also surprised as He was given His Grant of Arms!

We attended Hawkwood Baronial Birthday which was the most wonderful event. Their Excellencies were most gracious Hosts and really made all who attended not only feel as though they were the only ones there, we were all made to feel right at home.
Donngal fought Rapier of which the tournament was a site to see and brought a chuckle to all that watched. Below is the video, courtesy of YouTube
Also during this event, Donngal took His oath and on this day became a Blue Scarf. During feast, Baron Duncan MacGregor stopped eating and came down to where We were seated. Said some very kind, thoughtful words to Donngal and presented Him with a cordial cup as a token of his appreciation. An ending to a truly wonderful day.

Vivats to all SCAdians! Yesterday Drake and I held Yule Toy Tourney which is sort of like Toys for Tots. Instead of a site fee and list fee, participants were asked to bring one unwrapped toy and one toy per event they wanted to enlist in. We had a total of 50 attendants, which included Their Highness' and Their Excellencies. A total of 106 toys were gathered then donated to Country Santa which is a local charity aiding those children who might not otherwise have a very bright Christmas. This will now become Our annual event by request, of which Drake and I are very happy to host as it's a charity very dear to Our hearts. And in the coming year Our Canton will become more involved in the community as I have many items on Our agenda. Vivats!
