Forgive me, but this first clanfic of mine is not all that long. There is no beginning, and no end. It fits wherever the rune cards wish it.

A warm "Nihao" goes out to all of my clan. I love them well.

A soft music floated over the treetops. Barely heard, a mortal man would have thought it to be the gentle wind, playing its mystic Song of Life.

Deeper within the forest, the whispering notes became more clear, the song becoming stronger and more beautiful. If it were to catch any human's ears, he would have been trapped, doomed to the fate of the player of this elemental piece.

Up in the night sky, sitting upon the bough of an ancient oak, was the music's maker. Anyone who didn't know this mysterious creature would have believed it to be a quiet human girl, no older than thirteen summers But then again, looks could be deceiving.

In actuality, this was not a mortal female, but a member of the Third Race. True Faerie blood coursed through her veins, the giver of life unmatched by any other.

The wind blew softly, rustling her black tunic and cape, her dark hair over her face and shoulder. She played on, the wind dancing along with her song.

The music of her ocarina and the breeze of the night stirred her soul. In her mind, her dreams and fancies swirled, combining themselves with the enchanting melody of the wind instrument in her hands.

After a few moments, which to any other would have seemed a lifetime, the Faerie musician took the clay instrument from her lips, signaling to the woodlands around her that the piece was done. Also, in it's own magical effect, the wind stood still.

Smiling to herself, the Fae looked up and into the dark sky, the only light provided given by the stars and crescent moon. She sighed with pleasure, filled with the feeling of elation that she had always gotten when staring into the night.

Uncrossing her legs from the Indian-style position she was in, the Faerie brought her legs up to her chest, sitting like a small child. The wind picked up again, her dark elf locks dancing with the current.

Throughout the entire day, she had been watching the sky. Ever since the red and orange hues of the dawn, to a brilliant blue sky that she had never seen in all her years.

Then like magic, the darkness of night fell upon her. The beauty of the dark atmosphere suited her mind, a myriad of starts reflecting in her soulful eyes.

Reaching around her neck, the Faerie pulled out her pendant. It was in the shape of a ancient serpent dragon. It was shaped out of pure silver, it's eye made out a stone of jade, hanging on a silver chain.

The Faerie traced the shape of the dragon with her finger. The pendant was given to her ages ago from a friend. Or was it a lover? The Faerie could not remember exactly, but she did know still that that person was special to her in the past, and that she would keep it with her always.

Sighing, the Faerie replaced the dragon around her neck and stood up on the tree branch. She knew that her clan was waiting for her. She did not want to keep them waiting.

"It is time..." she whispered. "The time has come to meet my clan..."

Taking a running start, the Faerie leapt into the air, flying off into the night sky.

Her sisters of spirit were waiting. Awaiting the arrival of Byrdie Fae...
