Unlike most of my friends, I never really ever had a home.  When younger I ran away from a village in Canada.  My sister, at least I think that was her, ran away before I did and I have not seen her since.  I moved south and on the way I encountered my friend Tuffy.  Yeah, he's a cat.. sort of.  Have a problem with that? Good.  

We stayed in a town close to the border of Canada in the state that humans call New York (because of staying there so long and so close to Canada.. I do know some French).  We stole our food and stayed in a cavern in the woods outside of town.  Even then I had a strong urge to protect the humans that lived there.  I still think they are weird.  Over those past few years I was beginning to learn of my magical abilities.  The only explanation I have now is that I am not fully gargoyle.  

My facial features are almost totally human-like.  When the humans chased us from that town, we moved south again 'till a human family took us in.  That.... was a mistake that I wish not to talk of right now.  It was my fault and I'd rather not hear about it.  It still hurts to know that I'm a failure.  Because of that I moved south again until I came across a strange city that felt like it held mysterious magic.  The human mage, Lisette, met me after my encounter with those bizarre beings. Although... after I think about it.. he did have a cute voice... oh well.

*Shadow grins and vanishes in a puff of purple smoke*
