ThunderClan
ThunderClan inhabits the forest. It is seperated from ShadowClan by the Thunderpath, WindClan by the field, and RiverClan by an imaginary line that runs to the Thunderpath from Sunningrocks and to the Field on the opposite side of Sunningrocks. Behind them is the Twoleg place, and it is generally forbidden. ThunderClan tends to be the most reasonable, willing to stay in their territory, hunt in their own hunting grounds, and generally be the more fair when a stray cat does wander into their territory. However, they are also the only cats that stood up to Brokenstar when he led the ShadowClan into their territory, demanding that they let their hunting grounds be used by ShadowClan. ThunderClan has the most courage of all the Clans.

RiverClan
RiverClan inhabits the woods around the River. Their territory is also seperated from ShadowClan by the thunderpath and ThunderClan by the Sunningrocks, but WindClan is seperated from them by the Gorge, which drops to a river some three hundred feet below. Twolegs also live behind them, though seperate from the ones near ThunderClan. They hunt in the river and have the most ample food supply because of the abundance of fish. They are the only Clan that willingly gets wet, and they do not hesitate to forge a river. In battle, this is an invauable tactic because of the other Cat's reluctance to get wet. RiverClan used to be trusting of all Clans as well but in recent years, they have shown hostility towards WindClan and ThunderClan, believing them to be allied together against them. Their loyalties lie with ShadowClan. Because of this, craftiness and inventivness have proven to be RiverClan's strongest attributes.

ShadowClan
Shadow Clan lives on the opposite side of the Thunderpath. No cat but those of ShadowClan knows what les to the east or north of the camp, but to the east lies the Carrionplace. ShadowClan has been known to disrespect hunting rights and territories of all other Clans and in recent years dispelled a Leader, Brokenstar, for doing just that. However, it seems that all ShadowClan is similar. Nightstar, the new leader, has invaded the territory of all other Clans and has supposedly made and alliance with RiverClan. Battles have taken place throughout the lands, and a cat can never be too careful. Because of where they live, ShadowClan cats tend to be the most hostile.

WindClan
WindClan was once the most numerous Clan, but they were chased out by ShadowClan and only brought back a few moons ago. They live in the raised field, seperated, as all Clans are, from ShadowClan by the Thunderpath, from WindClan by the Gorge, and from ThunderClan by Fourtrees. Behind them lies the farm, inhabited by the Loner Barely and the former ThunderClan apprentice, Ravenpaw. WindClan has the scarcest food in their open meadow, but for that they are the most adept at hunting rabbit and mouse. They are logical thinkers and are generally never hasty about decisions. But once their mind is made up, they will fight to the death to keep what they have decided is theirs. They tend to be the most loyal and tightknit Clan, not welcoming outsiders. However, in recent years has been publically acknowledged that WindClan owes a lifedebt to ThunderClan for their return and for their aid in a second attmept to drive them from their camp.

StarClan
StarClan does not exist as the others do. It is the equivilant of Heaven. When a cat dies and has given his or her Clan it's complete and totaly loyalty and has served them well, he or she will join StarClan and become a star in Sivlerpelt, the band of stars in the sky. Cats in StarClan do not dissapear forever. Instead, they are able to communicate with Medicine Cats and, on a rare occasion, with cats of the Clans. They are there to give advice and aid and only appear at the Moonstone when a Leader goes to recieve his or her nine lives.
