INFORMATION ABOUT FESTIBOLAND 2003

1- The meeting of members of Boland family (Clan) will be held, next year, at Buenos Aires, on March 15 and 16.

2-The plan is to begin, the first day, Saturday, with a meeting at tea time, at Club del Progreso (Sarmiento street 1334), to attend, latter, to a Mass at a near church. During tea there will be announcements, proposals and appointments of Clan authorities.

3-The following day, Sunday we will attend a barbecue at “Don Guillermo”, week end house, near La Plata city, were, all those without transportation will be drove in and then carry back to Buenos Aires city. During barbecue, ceremonies will take place, and there will be and dances from Ireland.

4-Everyone is invited to transmit this invitation to other members of Boland family (Clan), here or abroad, letting know to us the names and addresses.

5-The organizers are: i) Santiago Boland, who organized the first Festiboland and ii) Guillermo V. Lascano Quintana, who is direct descendant of John Boland that arrived in Argentina on the nineteenth century.

Dear relatives:

Further to our first communication, we would like to mention some details to help you in your decision to assist.

You must be aware that, although you are all invited to all programmed events, you may assist to one or some of them. It is therefore necessary that you confirm your assistance in order to expedite organization.

We have obtained a special rate of $Arg. 50 (*) per person and per day ($Arg 70 for two, $Arg 90 for three and $Arg 110 for four, breakfast included) at the Fiamingo (apart-hotel), located at Talcahuano 120 – telephone (54) 11 4374-4402 – www.fiamingoapart.com.ar), two blocks from the Club del Progreso. Those wishing to make reservations should contact said hotel directly and advise the organizers.

The tea at the Club del Progreso has an estimated cost of $Arg 8 per person and the lunch at a week-end farm “Don Guillermo” of $Arg 10 per person.

Transport in a rented vehicle to the abovementioned week-end farm, from Buenos Aires and back, will be approximately $Arg 20 per person. However, once the number of people assisting is known, private vehicles may be available at no cost.
