SCOTTISH HERITAGE DAYS
Fort King George held its annual Scottish Heritage Days celebration on March 25.  The program actually began the day before with area school children attending various historical demonstrations.  Clann Nan Con had ten members at the event.

The fort hosted its first annual Highland games for the reenactors.  Competitions included caber toss, stone throw, hammer throw, rapid-fire musket, tug-of-war, and fire starting.  The caber toss and stone throw were won by Clan Chief Britt Brinson.  Skin Neal finished second in the caber toss.  Neil Fitzgibbons won the hammer throw & finished third in the stone throw.  Mark Tippens finished second in the musket shoot.  Gaelic drill was held throughout the day.
