Rant #7: Baby

What's the deal with the youth of today? When I was a lad I could happily fire at the neighbours without fear of being labeled a bully-boy. Anyone caught whinging could be safely called a Wet Blanket, as they'd had the same opportunity to build up an armed force as I'd had. But these days there's younger clans afoot... and I just don't know what to make of them.
Two examples: Clan Bold and Clan Meek.
Clan Bold set forth exploring as younglings tend to do. I let him wander into my lands, it'd just be plain mean to destroy a clan still in nappies. One day a Bold titan meandered through a hex being carpet bombed for the benefit of an unknown clan. Bold didn't whimper, Bold didn't cry, the little ankle-biter immediately sunk his teeth into the nearest Bac Ho breeder.
What was I to do?
Destroying all titans within range seemed the appropriate course of action. Bold, shook his head in disbelief, labeled me a bully, but astonishingly continued the assault. He even discovered invulnerable fighters and followed a path of unknown corpses to my mountain hideaway. I like Clan Bold, it'd be a great shame if it were to disappear from this world. It still has a lot to learn (love the titans with more weapons than engines) but once his invulnerability runs out I won't be sending Clan Bold to oblivion.
Clan Meek started life in a similar fashion to Clan Bold. Wandering across the unmarked borders of Bac Ho territory. Munching on Bac Ho crops, jostling the wiser Bac Ho breeders and depriving the odd one of a meal.
What was I to do?
Threatening the youngster seemed the appropriate course of action. Meek whimpered, Meek cried, Meek ran away. Although disgusted by the yellow-bellied Clan Meek, I saw the opportunity to train the wee thing in the art of war. Offered him an obsolete titan to shoot. Meek didn't fire. Tried to set up a controlled war with Clan Bold, bets were about to be placed but the fight never eventuated. I've failed as a teacher... Clan Meek is expelled from the school of Bac Ho.
Two clans, two very different attitudes. What a great shame it is to see that Meek the Hippy thrives, growing more advanced by the day, while Bold the battler marches to his doom. What can we do with the youth of today? They just don't take any notice of their elders.
