epilogue
“So,
when did you guys know I was kidnapped?” asked Mika.
She and Nokoru were sitting at a table outside in the yard having tea.
Looking around her, she saw the CLAMP School students having fun and
enjoying the sunshine that the sun had brought them that day.
“Takendo and me?” asked Nokoru.
Mika nodded and the blonde boy continued.
“Well, I was with our older siblings and none of us knew where you
were.
We were all concerned about you, and when I saw Takendo back in the room
and you not there, I realized that something was wrong.
I then asked him if he knew where you were, and he said you went to the
bathroom.
But it had been half an hour, so we knew something was wrong.
Then, Takendo and I sneaked out of the Tower we began asking the people
at the street stalls if they had seen you, and if not, we went to another
one.”
“Did you get the message?” Mika eagerly asked.
“What, the “help, Mika” one?”
“Yeah.”
“We got the message but…I wasn’t too specific you know.”
“Well, it was the best I could do!” Mika replied back indignantly.
Nokoru smiled and continued with the story.
“When we got you’re message, we then asked one the lady at one of the
stalls if they had seen you, and she then pointed to Izunawa mansion.
We were going to sneak in and save you, but then you came out all
safe.”
Mika smiled up at her brother and said, “Thanks.”
There was a pause.
Mika didn’t readily thank people unless she was made to or was really
thankful.
Nokoru didn’t know what to say.
“I guess you’re wondering what happened to me.” Mika said with a
hint of mischief in her voice.
“Of course.” answered Nokoru.
“Well, as you know, the big men in black surrounded me and well,
kidnapped me.
I could’ve gotten out of it so easily, but stupid me just went along
with them.
I made them walk since I knew it would take longer, and also that I could
give you a clue to where I was going.
Also, it was to annoy them.
Hmm, then, I was taken to Sotaro’s mansion, and with some chit-chat, I
found out that he kidnapped me because…wait for it, so that he could get
closer to Doria-chan!”
Nokoru’s eyes widened.
“He wanted to kidnap you so he could get closer to our sister?”
Mika giggled.
“Yeps.
And then we talked some more and I erm, I accidentally punched him in the
jaw.
So, of course I had to take him t the hospital and-“
“Didn’t any of the body guards stop you?” interrupted Nokoru.
“Huh? Oh, no, they didn’t.
We just left the room, and all of the men in black surrounded us, but
Sotaro just said that he needed to go to the hospital, and I just said that I
was going to take him, like it or not, and they just backed off because Sotaro
said it was all right.” Taking a deep breath, Mika went on. “And, we left
the grounds, and that was when I saw you and Takendo about to climb up a
tree.”
Nokoru jolted at the last sentence and gave a little nervous laugh.
“Well, I think it would be better if that was kept a bit quiet.”
Mika looked suspiciously at her brother.
“Eh? And why is that?”
“Eh, Well, that I because if Suoh and Akira found out, then well, you
know.”
Smiling fondly at her brother, the turquoise haired girl patted him on
the hand and said, “Don’t worry, it will be kept a secret.”
Taking a sip of her tea, she looked at the tall CLAMP School clock tower.
Only twenty minutes now, she thought.
Nokoru noticed his younger sister looking up at the clock and couldn’t
help grinning.
“So, you meeting Hiramoto-san?”
Spluttering,
Mika cried out, “How did you know that?”
“I
am your brother, Mika.”
Seeing her blush, Nokoru decided to change the topic.
“Anyway, what happened to Izunawa-san?”
“Eh,
Sotaro?
Oh, well, since I felt really really bad about what I did to him…”
“Go
on,”
“Well,
and since he wanted to get closer to Doria…”
“Yes,”
“I
–er- I asked Mother if he could go the CLAMP University.” Mika said quickly.
Nokoru’s
eyes opened up wide.
Seeing the kaichou’s expression, Mika blurted out, “Well, he did say
that Doria thought that he had no brains and all, so I thought that if he
attended the uni, well, maybe Doria might see him in another light.
Also, if he is on campus, that means he may be able to see her more.
And, who knows, maybe he will be our brother-in-law.
He’s not that bad, you know.
And I did fracture his jaw…”
Nokoru
laughed,
“All well that ends well, that’s what I say.”
“Hai!”
