History of Clairmark Stables
In 1986 Thadeus and Edna Harris began buying Thoroughbreds at many of Americas big auctions. By '88 they had purchased about 50 racers and 25 broodmares. In 1989 they won there 1st stakes race and many more soon followed. In 1994 Edna died of a stroke and Thadeus began selling off many horses only keeping a few that he thought really had potential. In 2002 Thadeus died during an operation. After he died no one knew what to do with the horses and it was decided that they would go to auction. Right before they were sent to auction I stepped up and said I would take them (It was ok because he was my uncle). I had followed racing since I was a young boy and I knew alot about it. So I took all of the that Thadeus had not already sold and I bought 783 acres and created Clairmark Stables. Since then I have hired a people to help with the horses and I have added many promising horses to the stables. See you at the race track!
