august 08, 2001 i really am becoming obsessed with clouds. i find myself staring at the sky daily.

more words... i read somewhere once there were about 100 different kinds of clouds in the world, and that over 90 of them could be seen in the pacific northwest. [numbers totally estimated as i don't remember the actual figures; these are close though, i think.] i never paid all that much attention to clouds, other than noticing they were hanging out there, up in the sky, and occasionally playing that game where you try and decide what any given cloud formation looks like. but lately, i am all about watching them move, looking to see which types of clouds are in the sky, which ones float higher and which low to the ground. i've seen some incredibly gorgeous cloudy skies. some prettier than the bluest of clear blue days.
