at work, we share the 14th floor with a branch of a major financial company.

in general, the people who work there appear to go through life with a giant stick up their butts, which is a pretty spectacular feat considering they manage to squeeze said butt and stick into high end clothing. they love nothing more than to gaze down their patrician noses at those of us sullying their atmosphere in our overalls and flannels. this is especially evident in the shared bathrooms, where the financials take great pains to skirt out as soon as one of us arrives.

i finally figured out the real reason they are in such a hurry to get out.

a couple of the newer financials apparently haven't got the maneuver quite down yet, and i've caught them gazing at their butts in the mirror; they pluck at panties, trying to erase visible panty line, they smooth crepe and wool and silk over their rear curves, they preen like the proverbial peacocks.

i guess if i'd successfully concealed a 2X4 up my butt, i'd be looking at it a lot too.
