ATAXIC CERBRAL PALSY
Ataxic CP is typified by low muscle tone and poor coordination of movement. Sufferers of Ataxic CP look unsteady and shaky. The shakiness shows itself when the sufferer tries to use their hands e.g. when writing. They have a tremor similar to that displayed by some elderly people. This means that the Ataxic sufferer is often slow in doing written work or painting.
Ataxic CP can also make the sufferer very unsteady on their feet, balance may be affected and they may have difficulty in walking.
