white areas represents my skin.  This would be a band around my right bicep.

I originally wanted a celtic armband (being that i'm 75% irish, and play celtic jigs on the       violin) but was looking for something unique, and couldn't find any i particularly liked.  then i saw a guy with a bass cleff tattooed on his arm, which gave me the idea of using the  treble cleff as the basis for a pattern.  Music has always been and will always be a huge   part of my life so it seemed a great way to make the tattoo personal.  I tried to incorporate  lines and shapes in a celtic-ish manner.

I've never gotten a tattoo before, and don't take the decision lightly.  I will continue to  contemplate, while working out ('cause i gotta have buff arms if i'm gonna have a tattoo there) and if i still want the tattoo by this summer, i'll get it while i'm home in Portland.

I was fucking around with my camera and photoshop and created this image (left) of what the tattoo WILL look like on me.  I wanted to mess around with the size and placement, and see how the image looked with the white being skin color, so the emphasis is on the black, (since that's how it's going to be on my skin)  The more time i put into this, the more likely it is i'm going to actually follow through.  We shall see.
