2). Purchase your study material. These are the minimum items I recommend. They are avaialble at www.sportys.com. Also check Amazon, eBay, etc.
- Jeppesen Private Pilot Manual
- Current FAR/AIM
- Gleim Knowledge Test Preperation Book
- Pilot's Operating Handbook for airplane model you intend to learn on
3). Purchase a headset. I personally like the David Clarks.
4). Purchase a logbook, E6B, plotter, kneeboard, flight bag, flashlight, and a good set of sunglasses
