FBI agent Tom Daniels is a key contributor to Dr. Coulter's original research project. But Agent Daniels has obscured his true identity -- he is, in truth, a dominant and has penetrated the research facility on behalf of his species. But he, like Dr. Parker, is conflicted about his species, for he has some empathy for Homo sapiens. When Parker discovers his true identity, he grows afraid for his life. Still loyal to his breed, he flees the region with an emotional good-bye.
