| CHAPTER 14 - "I LOVE YOU TOO" Nicky and I didn't see much of Tracy and co., or Niamh for much of the night. We were too busy, in a world of our own - a world that contained just the two of us. It was the way we liked it - we loved being by ourselves, talking, laughing...kissing. The party livened up soon after we arrived, and a lot of people were there. Bryan was mad as usual, and Niamh - well, she finally brought over her new 'friend' to introduce us to him - his name was Keiron, he had blonde hair, and blue eyes. She spent most of the night with him, so neither Nicky or I saw much of her. Nicky and I danced all night long, oblivious to anything or anyone around us. Nickys dancing got better, as the night progressed, and we soon both became tired. Nicky poured us both drinks, and we decided to go and sit out on the patio - no one else was out there, and by this time it was after midnight. We sat down, side by side, on chairs out on the patio, with our backs to the house. The stars were out in full, and I was reminded of our walk to the hill, watching the stars, and how romantic Nicky was that night. "It's so loud in there....my ears are thumping!" Nicky rubbed his ears, and smiled at me. "I know...still, a party has to have loud music! I love partys and everything, but....I'd rather be alone with you." I reached out for Nickys hand, and held it. "I know, so would I. You're a good dancer though Charlotte!" "Get away......nah, I try, that's all - I'm not anything special!" I saw the glint in Nickys eyes, as I touched his blonde, gelled hair. It was so soft. "You're something special to me......" He leant over and kissed me on the lips. I could smell his aftershave, the lovely smell it was. His kiss was soft, and gentle. I loved kissing Nicky. I pulled away; "Fancy going on a little walk, just for a few minutes? I need to stretch my legs, and the music in the background is so annoying." "Yeh, ok." Nicky grabbed my hand, and we began to walk, talking as we always did. Our walk took us to the park, just along from Bryans house. Nicky and I sat down on the park bench, still hand in hand, and smiling. "That's better - the music was beginning to irritate me!" "Me too." Nicky looked at me,"You look beautiful tonight." I blushed again, as I always did when in Nickys company. "Thanks Nicky - I think you look gorgeous." I grinned, and he grinned back. Then we both turned, and looked to the sky. The moon light was shining down on us. Nicky then re-focused on me; "Did I tell you............" He broke off. "What is it Nicky?" I said, intrigued. "Well, it's just.....I..." Yes, c'mon, we're going out now - you can tell me Nicky." I clasped his hand, to reassure him. "Well..I was watching you tonight, dancing, laughing, with me....I realised we get on so well, and we're so close, I mean, we just clicked if you like, when we first met. It was tonight I realised Charlotte...you're very special to me. When I though I'd be moving away, I was so upset, you wouldn't believe. I realised, when I might be moving away that...." "That?" "That I'm in love with you Charlotte." I didn't know what to say - no one had ever said these words to me before. Although I was pleased to hear them, I was also shocked. I smiled, blushing even more. I then decided to share my feelings with Nicky. "Oh Nicky, I love you so much too. I've never had anyone this special in my life before - no one has ever made me feel as special as you do. I'm in love with you too." Nicky smiled with relief. "I'm pleased"He gripped my hand. "I thought I'd scare you, saying this so soon in our relationship, but it's the way I feel. You're the most important person in my life...I've never cared for a girl as much as I care for you Charlotte - I can tell you anything, you're my friend as well as my girlfriend. I feel like I've known you for years." "I feel exactly the same way, infact, this is what I lay awake and think about some nights - you Nicky, I love you." Nicky kissed me, wrapping his arms around me, and holding me tightly. It was warm outside, the moonlight still shining down on us. I felt that warm feeling again, the feeling I only felt when with Nicky. Nicky spoke once more; "It's just whenever I see you, I get that feeling, you know the feeling?" "Yeh, I get it when I see you-my stomach feels all tingly." "Yes, that's the feeling. It's whenever I see you, I'm so happy. I'm always looking forward to the next time we'll speak or see each other. I could never get tired of seeing you, I'm always thinking about you..." "And I always think of you too Nicky - infact, you're all I ever think about. I know exactly what you mean, I just didn't think you felt the same, I mean, as in being in love with me." I couldn't believe I was sharing my feelings like this, to Nicky. I was normally a person who kept my feeling to myself, atleast, never going in to this much detail. There was a silence between us, but not an awkward silence - we both just stared at each other, pleased, and relieved we felt the same way. I broke the silence; "I suppose we'd better got back to the party. Niamh will be wondering where we are!" "Yeh, c'mon." Nicky stood up, and held out his hand, to pull me up from the park bench. He smiled cheekily, as he always did - the smile I loved to see so much. We made our way back to Bryans house, our arms around each other. Niamh ran up to us, as soon as we enterd the house - "Where have you two love birds been, or don't I want to know!" "We went for a walk to the park, to get some peace and quiet." "Oh, is that what you two call it!" She laughed, devilishly, grinning. Just then, her friend Keiron joined her. "Well, me and Keiron are off to dance, he'll walk me home of you two want to head home early." "Ok Niamh" Nicky said, winking at me, "Charlotte and I might just do that." With that Niamh went off, and began to dance with Keiron. "Those two seem to be getting on well!" I said "Yeh, I'm pleased - It'll give us time alone." Nicky held my hand tightly. As I looked around the livivng room, I noticed some people,including Bryan, had fallen asleep on chairs, some were getting drinks, some changing the music, and most of them were dancing. Nicky looked at me; "Charlotte, do you want to head off, go somewhere else - we can go to mine if you like?" "Yeh, ok, lets go." We shouted bye to Niamh, and began the walk back to Nickys house. I was sure we would find something to do at his house................. |
