But dad! I dont wanna go!
But why? Youll have fun! All the people you go with every year will be
there.
I know. Thats exactly why I dont wanna go.
Come on! Youll go skiing and have fun!
You already said that. But you know what? Somehow I dont believe in
that. Lila said as she went to her room and slammed the door behind her.  She was a typical 15 year-old. She had a mind of her own. Like everyone her age. But something else happened to her that she acted this way. She lost her mum when she was 14. She wasnt the same after that event. Her mum was killed by some horrible man, but she didnt like to talk about it much because it hurt her, and she didnt want to express her feelings to anyone. She was afraid to open up again.
And now, a year after the event, her dad was trying to convince her to go on winter-holidays, like they used to do every winter when her mum was still alive. She used to be happy all year just thinking what a great time shell have when winter time comes, but she didnt feel like it anymore. Her sister, Ashley, was 20, and this year, she decided to go with her friends in France to have fun. Well, to be honest, her friends persuaded her to go with them, cos they thought it would do good for you. And her dad agreed with that. He wanted nothing but best for his daughters. After all, they were all he had in the world now.
Great. Another week in boring Austria. Like Im not bored
enough in this hell-hole Croatia. Lila said once she slammed the door behind her. But she knew shell have to go.
Well, at least Ill take Daisy for a walk every day. she tried to look
on the bright side And play with her oh yeah! That will be sooooooooooo fun! she said sarcastically. Daisy was her dog, a Golden Retriver. She loved her very much, but taking her for a walk and stroking her while she just lays there on her back, wasnt Lilas idea of having fun. It was just a way to survive those two weeks somewhere high on a mountain God knows where
Before she realized it, it was 11pm.  Thank God its Saturday tomorrow.  She thought and yawned. Suddenly, there was a knock on her bedroom door, and few seconds later, her sister pocked her head in.
Hey.
Hi Ash.
Ashley sat on the bed next to Lila, and just looked at her with her big brown eyes and a slight smile on her face.
What is it? Lila asked.
Welldad says you dont wanna go to Austria.
And what does that have to do with you? Lila said it more coldly
then she wanted it to be.
Ashley sighted and started-
Look, Lila. You know I love you. And dad loves you too. And he
wants nothing but best for you. So give him some slack. Hes trying, its hard on him too. Dont make it more tougher for him then it already is.
Lila suddenly felt really ashamed by the way she acted. She was so stubborn, and thought only about herself.
Lila looked at her sister and said-
Youre totally right. I mean, whats a week, right? Beside, Ill have
fun. she thought out loud trying to convince herself.
A big smile spread across Ashleys face. She happily jumped from the bed and faced Lila.
Well, now that we have that sorted out, I wanted to ask you if you
wanna go out with me tomorrow night. We can to movies or something.
Sure, Ill go.
Come on! A little more enthusiasm! You act like a fish who has just
been beaten up with a baseball bat after having a fish-hook nailed through its mouth while dragged from the sea, and then having its insides tak- !
OK, OK! I get the picture! Lila said laughing Gosh! You always
know how to cheer me up! she finished with a smile, as they hugged each other
