Part 1 (ally)

I stood in the airport staring at the screen, checking for news on the flight delay on the LA flight. I hadn't seen Bryan for 4 weeks, he was busy touring with the band and we had agreed not to drag Dylan (now 5) and Jessica  (now 4) to America, so I had stayed home. I sighed and sat down on one of the chairs.
"Come on Bry." I muttered. "One more hour and we're going."
"Where's Daddy?" Jessica asked for the tenth time in as many minutes.
"He's not coming! He doesn't like you." Dylan laughed and stuck his tongue out at his sister.
"Dylan, that's not nice!" I said,, while he just laughed. Jessica came up and sat beside me on the chair, yawning.
"I thought you said Daddy would be here at 7, its now..." Dylan squinted at the clock, "after 8."
"I know, the silly plane's late." I sighed again. I looked up at the screen again, 'flight delayed, expected at 845pm. "Only half an hour."
"Half an hour?! That's ages!' Jessica said sleepily "If I fall asleep, will you wake me up when he's here?"
"Of course I will." And with that she fell asleep. Neither her nor Dylan had slept much because of their excitement at seeing Bryan again, and their curiosity over what presents he had brought home for them. " are you gonna sleep too?" I asked Dylan.
"Nope, I want to read my book." He went in his bag and pulled out his new reading book, he was proving to be quite smart, and loved to read his little books. We sat in silence, I read a magazine, Dylan read his book and Jessica stayed asleep. At about 9pm, the guys finally came through the gates.
"Hey!" Bryan cried, and ran over towards us. Dylan ran over to meet him. They both walked overto me and Bryan carefully picked up Jessica so as not to wake her.
"She wanted me to wake her up when you got here, she tried to stay awake." I explained, as he picked up his bag and we started to walk outside. The other guys all  walked behind us. Their wives and children hadn't come to the airport,  some fans generally weren't nice to the partners. We walked out, I carried Dylan, who was getting sleepy too, while Bryan had Jessica, still sleeping. Without warning, a pack of fans crowded round, screaming questions at the guys, ignoring the fact that Bryan was carrying a sleeping child.
Autograph books and pens were thrown towards him, he looked calm at first, then, surprising everyone, he snapped.
"For God's sake!" He muttered angrily, and pushed through the crowd.
"Calm down." I said, quietly.
Some fans weren't happy to be ignored. "Ignorant pig!" One of them commented, Bryan heard this, and sharply turned around. "I've been on a plane for 11 hours! I haven't seen my family for 4 weeks, I just want to get them home,
ok?!" He snapped, and pushed through once again. The noise of the crowd increased as he walked away, leaving the other lads to try and deal with the crowd. Just then, Jessica woke up, scared by the noise and started to cry. She looked up, realised it was Bryan holding her, smiled, and went back to sleep. We got to the car and drove home.
"You didn't have to be so rough on the fans." I said, quietly, once we were watching tv.
"You wouldn't understand." He sighed quietly, sipping his coffee.
"I was there tonight, I saw what it was like, why wouldn't I understand?"
"Because....it's like that, everywhere we go....." He said.
"It's part of what you do Bry, the fans make Westlife."
"I know, sometimes it just gets a bit much, I shouldn't have been mean to them, I don't mind so much when it's just me and the lads, but tonight, doing that with the kids around...." He sighed, heavily. "As if they don't care if they upset them..."
"It's not that, they just, well, they're kids, they don't think about stuff like that, they're just so excited about seeing you."
"I guess, I don't think I scored many brownie points with management." He sighed.
"They'll understand."
"Hope so, I told you not to bring the kids to the airport though. You know how it gets."
"Well, excuse me, but the kids wanted to see their father, who's been gone for 4 weeks.they missed you!" I replied, a little sarcastic.
"Look, Ally, I've had a very long day, I don't want to argue, ok?" He stood up and walked towards the stairs.
"I'm not arguing, just telling you the truth, for God's sake." I muttered, still sitting.
"What?"
"Nevermind!" I said.
"NO! WHAT DID U SAY?!"
And soon enough, it was war. We yelled about everything it seemed. Rumors about him in the papers, I had read, but didn't believe, him yelling about how I wasn't supposed to take the kids to meet him. When it had calmed down, I walked to the cupboard and took out some blankets.
"What are you doing?" He asked, calming down.
"I'm going to check on the kids, then I'll sleep down here."
"I'll check too." We walked upstairs in silence. I quietly opened Jessica's room door, but the room was empty. Bryan opened Dylan's room door.
"Bryan...Jess isn't in there!" I said, panicking a little.
"She's in here." I looked and saw her sleeping in Dylan's bed, still shaking from crying.
"What's going on?" Bryan whispered to Dylan who was still awake.
"She got scared with the shouting." He explained.
"I'll put her back in her own bed." I sighed.
"No, I will." Bryan said, moving to lift her.
"Bryan, I said -"
"Don't argue, again." He said.
"Fine." I walked back downstairs, we would have to talk, but maybe in the morning, because we were both too angry to discuss things rationally at the moment.
