i am officially boycotting bp petrol stations.
every station in the western world, and in europe to the best of my recollection, has their pumps set up in the following manner:

as i was filling up the tank this morning, i reached for the center nozzle, as i always do, when i noticed the price seemed abnormally high. that's when i noticed the little gas machine was set up like this:

evil, evil british petroleum! and here i was giving them my business because i was having an anglophile moment. well enough of that nonsense, it's back to chevron for me. i've had a chevron account since before i even had a car; it amused me terribly to have a useless credit card although i suppose i could have stocked up on chips and beer and over priced beef jerky if i really wanted to give it a workout.
