misfits

so, like a good little insomniac, i've been listening to dr chopra's tape.

he goes on and on about the body being out of balance and offers a variety of things you can do or eat or think to help regain that balance but quite frankly, i've been distracted ever since the beginning of the tape where he discusses the three body types as defined by ayurveda. i am none of the three; even in india, i'd be a misfit.

ms monica lewinski, no teeth gene and i had better things to do wednesday night than watch tv, but since we were both addicted to the senate impeachment hearings, we felt the need to tape ms lewinsky's foray into the world of pseudo-tabloid journalism. it was just a bit of closure, you know? anyhow we sat down and watched most of it last night, fastforwarding through the incredibly long commercial breaks to watch what amounted to a gigglefest. i thought she came across as incredibly naive and bubblebrained, while gene thought she looked like a genuinely nice girl with a bit of a problem in the judgment arena.

we both thought she had really shiny white teeth and a lack of definition in her upper lip.

as most adored at my office, i get some unusual perks. my crackerjack prize

the best one of late, as i previously mentioned somewhere or other, involves the veep of operations [formerly client services] giving me the prizes out of his daily bag of crackerjacks. i stopped eating them when they started coming in bags; cracker jacks should only be eaten out of boxes. they should also have much cooler prizes than the ultralame things they ship these days but as long as i'm not paying for them, i suppose i can't really complain. for the past month or so i've been getting stupid magic tricks [amaze your friends!], stupider little foldup cars you blow on to make them speed across your desktop [annoy your cats!] and these strange little bug cutouts to put on the end of your pens and pencils [make your boss think you're 3 years old!].

today, however, we hit the big time. the smiley face ring. which would be cool enough in and of itself but wait! there's more! flip it over and you have the decision making ring. now there's something i can actually use as we all know i can't make a decision to save my life.

it's not my fault; i'm a libra.

glad she has a nicely shaped upper lip, even if she doesn't have an ayurveda body type, claire
