Ryac Aerospace are proud to present the latest in a line of space propulsion systems, the JX-425 CPP thrust array. Combining the equivalent of 425 standard thruster modules and a conventional TL-15 rated fusion plant in one modular package.

The JX-425 is designed to function either alone or in multiple depending on craft need, with either a twin or a single, large, cooling fin arrangement depended on craft configuration. In addition to the thrust effects this unit is capable of providing 9,918MW of usable electircal power into a crafts power grid.

by combining the power plant and drive units into a single package Ryac Aerospace have managed to eliminate the problems caused by the requirement for high powered couplings between reactors and thrusters found in conventional craft.

The completed assembly is designed to fit within a cylindrical mounting measuring 12m across by 70m long, the thrust plates are concentrated to the rear of the unit, with the power plant located towards the front. It is capable of being oriented to any rotation required to allow the cooling fins to be attached, it is also possible to provide cooling via other means since the JX-425 includes standard coolant couplings. This makes this drive suitable for embedded usage deep with a crafts hull.

Designed with military craft in mind, this thrust array has been incorporated into the 5,000 DT 'Nebula-2' frigate, also from Ryac Aerospace, to provide 6G acceleration from a pair of JX-425 units. It is expected that the JX-425 will be incorporated into a range of small-medium sized capital ships for military usage, at this time the drive is not rated for civilian usage, but such a rating is expect in the near future, a single JX-425 is capable of propelling a craft of 20,000 DT to 1G acceleration with a degree of redundancy ans well as providing enough power to drive any civilian craft of this size in a single propulsion package.

With careful design of the host craft the modular nature of the JX-425 allows the entire drive section to be removed for overhaul and maintenace, including the ability to simply exchange damaged drives and return the main hull to service quickly.
