Sydney Berne

Canadian Artist

Sydney Berne was born in Toronto, Ontario, and attended
Central Technical School of Art, after which he took up work in
the Commercial Arts Field.  He served in the Army overseas, and
upon returning to Canada settled in Montreal, Quebec. He studied in Paris and London and worked with Abstract Expressionist Paul Andre. Sydney exhibited frequently between 1962 and 1978.

Original Oil Painting by Sydney Berne

	This is an Original Oil painting on canvas. It is a very pleasant, artistic rendering of a winter river scene.
Great color and balance.

The title is "Winter River Scene" in the
Laurentian Mountains, St. Jovite, Quebec.

There is a 1" gray liner around the painting, then a 3" white antiqued with gold frame which is 37" x 27". The actual canvas size is 20" x 30" 

The painting is signed in the lower right-hand corner by the artist Sydney Berne.
